Toronto Atomic gained an important 2-0 victory over the top end of the table rivals Scarborough SC.
Following a scoreless first half in a close encounter at Birchmount Stadium, Toronto Atomic went ahead on a goal by midfielder Terry Dunfield who found the net past Scarborough goalkeeper Imad Hakura at the 76th minute mark.
Atomic defender Nazamir Drahan increased the lead to 2-0 at 88 minutes, the score at the final whistle.
Atomic has an improved 5-4-2 record for 17 points in second position in the standings, while Scarborough is in third position with a 5-3-1 record for 16 points
